iTunes Playlist back in
It's something that seems to come and go, but iTunesDSM will now add new tracks to a playlist in iTunes again. You can see in the screenshot an automatically generated playlist.
I see from your video that this program assumes that the users iTunes library should have the "Keep iTunes Media Files Organized" preference selected. Can you please tell me if it is possible to check what this setting is programmatically using the iTunes sdk? Can it also be set programmatically.
I am writing some itunes utilities of my own and have not been able to figure out how to do this.
Thanks for your interest in iTunesDSM. No, there is no way to "read" the advanced options in iTunes either with the com/sdk or through the xml file. It's unfortunate I know :( I have those options listed there as more of a way to alert the user that it's important and it keeps the add tracks function from working if they are not selected.
1. Remove files that have been duplicated by iTunes, for example, 01 Dream On 1.mp3, 01 Dream On 2.mp3, ...
2. Backup up files before they are removed from the iTunes Music Folder.
3. Customize extensions to filter with.
4. Remove orphaned tracks from iTunes. Orphaned tracks are files that no longer exist but that iTunes doesn't know about. (Windows only)
5. Written in Java so it works on Windows and Mac OSX.
6. Automatically or manually add tracks to iTunes that are in a folder but not in the library. For example, a family shares a folder that contains music and one user has bought a new song, but other iTunes libraries don't have that song in the library, i.e. iTunes Folder Watching - Background Monitoring.
